Local supplier and service company BTE (Business to Europe) represents the German high-tech mechanical engineering enterprise i-mes in southern Africa and provides consultation, service and training for these systems.

i-mes specialises in development, production and service of complete plug-in finished system solutions, including customised solutions targeted at handicraft, industry and training. The company’s product range offers flexible and convincing solutions for everything from micro-sized companies to medium-sized jewellery and goldsmith business.

With a broad offering of 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines, i-mes’ ICP series is aimed at small professional users. Two-phase, high-torque, micro-step stepping motors control the machines of the ICP2015, 3020 and the 4030 series. This allows x, y and z travel movement to a maximum of 400 x 300 x 140 mm and a maximum gantry clearance of 170 mm. The machines conform to CE safety standards and are provided with an isolated machining area which can optionally be equipped with a dust removal system. For fast, professional 3D use in model-making and prototyping, the 4030 series with a DC server motor is the optimal solution.

All machines of this series can be connected directly to any PC using standard interface ports. Operation is uncomplicated and can be learnt very quickly with the help of the supplied manual. The quality, structure and mechanical layout of the machine enables quick setup of the tools and quick start of the milling process.

Product ranges like the Economy, Euromod and Flatcom series, as well as CNC milling and engraving machines, high quality aluminium profiles, linear units and CNC mechanical engineering components complete the delivery programme of BTE.
