Satel’s SatelCode 8i is a versatile VHF radio transmitter which, together with its counterpart, the SatelNode X8S receiver, provides an easy way of setting up a wireless alarm transfer connection between two points.
The 8i, having output power of 4 W, transmits a message that includes both address and alarm information. The number of possible different messages amounts to several tens of thousands. The configuration of a transmit/receive system is straightforward and the operation costs of alarm transfer systems are said to be low, as there are practically no network service charges.
The 8i is a one-way radio transmitter equipped with eight programmable inputs and a synthesised transmitter. It is used to transmit alarms related to the control of production machinery, or to the safety and security of people and property.
Activating a separate switch makes it possible to bypass the preconfigured inputs. It is also possible to program a short delay to any of the inputs.
