Wireless MIMO backhaul links

InfiNet Wireless has announced the release of its InfiLINK 2x2 high-performance MIMO product family.

Solutions based on the InfiLINK 2x2 family will include a comprehensive range of modules aimed at satisfying the needs of a variety of service providers requiring high-capacity Fast Ethernet backhaul links for speeds up to 300 Mbps.

The new InfiLINK products reach real throughputs of more than 100 Mbps in just 20 MHz of spectrum and 100 Mbps full-duplex in 40 MHz of spectrum. They can be used as a high-capacity long haul to create remote Internet points of presence (POPs), a highly-efficient WiMAX BTS backhauls or as a traditional transmission backbone for streaming multiple high-quality video streams.

In addition to major deployments abroad in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, these products have been successfully installed in South African projects for the government, municipalities, mining groups and Internet service providers.
