PC/104 SBC up to 800 MHz

29 April 2009 Computer/Embedded Technology

Adlink has extended its range of PC/104 single board computers (SBCs) with the release of its new CoreModule 430. The board combines legacy I/O interfaces with onboard video, DDR2 RAM, USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet on a single 90 x 96 mm module.

The CoreModule 430 offers a choice of 300 MHz or 800 MHz Vortex86 processors for rugged environments including temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, vibration up to 15 Grms, and shock up to 50 Grms. It offers 2D graphics with a TTL flat panel interface along with legacy CRT, and boasts a full 16-bit ISA bus and an Intel Ethernet controller for consistent performance over temperature.

Onboard I/O includes one UDMA IDE port, a Compact Flash socket, four serial ports, two with RS422/485 capability, two USB 2.0 ports, Intel 10/100 Ethernet, parallel port, PS/2 keyboard/mouse, and eight general-purpose digital I/O pins. In addition, it brings out SPI and LPC bus interfaces for more flexibility to attach custom I/O.
