Tiny inductors with low DC resistance

Murata has developed two new series of low-profile wire wound chip inductors for use in DC-DC converter applications.
Both the LQH3NP_M0 series and LQH3NP_G0 series of inductors offer low DC resistance, vital for DC-DC converter applications as it prevents energy dissipation from the inductor, improving the converter’s overall efficiency.
The new ranges offer low DC resistances of 0,044 Ω ±20% (LQH3NP_M0) and 0,08 Ω ±20% (LQH3NP_G0). The series’ compact and low-profile 1212 size packaging is designed to save space, measuring 3 x 3 x 1 mm (LQH3NP_G0) or 3 x 3 x 1,5 mm (LQH3NP_M0).
A wide range of inductances is available: 1,0 to 100 μH for the LQH3NP_M0 series, and 1,0 to 250 μH for the lower profile LQH3NP_G0 series. The parts come with rated currents up to 2,05 A and feature excellent magnetic shielding as standard. Operating temperature is -40 to 85°C.
