The Si474x automotive AM/FM radio receiver family is a completely integrated entry-level middle band radio chip solution from Silicon Labs.
The LNA, LDO, AFC, AGC, ADC, DSP, DAC and RDS feature modules are all integrated into the chip, which also eliminates environmental influences like coupling and RF signals from too many external circuits. Completely integrated entry-level middle band solutions can be implemented, such as FM, FM radio data system (RDS), AM, long wave (LW), short wave (SW) and weather bands.
The Si474x family supports worldwide radio band requirements including 76–90 MHz in Japan and 87,5–108 MHz. Furthermore, the chips can output analog audio signals and digital audio signals; they can also be used to record audio directly. The chip is AEC-Q100 qualified is housed in a tiny 4 x 4 mm package.
