Hittite recently announced the release of a ceramic SMT packaged GaAs pHEMT SP4T (single-pole, four-throw) MMIC switch for industrial sensors, test and measurement, microwave radio, military EW and space applications from DC to 20 GHz.
The HMC641LC4 is a wideband, non-reflective switch which exhibits 2,1 dB insertion loss and 42 dB isolation at midband, and features an on-chip binary decoder that requires only two control lines. High P1dB and input IP3 performance of +23 dBm and +39 dBm respectively, make the device suitable for applications requiring wide bandwidth and moderate to high linearity. The switch accepts control voltages of 0 and -5 V, and consumes only 3 mA.
The HMC641LC4 is housed in a ceramic, RoHS compliant 4 x 4 mm SMT package, provides high isolation, requires no external matching components and is compatible with high volume surface mount manufacturing techniques.
