ADCs extend battery life

Broadening its portfolio of 12-/10-/8-bit devices, Maxim has introduced the MAX11102 family of low-power ADCs. This family is composed of nine devices available in different resolution (12-/10-/8-bit), channel-count (2/1) and conversion-rate (3/2 MSps) configurations. Designed to extend battery life in portable electronics, they offer a maximum power consumption of only 9,9 mW and can operate from a supply rail down to 2,2 V. Fast wake-up and shutdown times enable the ADCs to operate in burst mode, which minimises the amount of time spent in active power mode. These ICs are suitable for portable/battery-powered electronics, automotive designs, solar-powered systems and system monitoring applications.
