Hittite has introduced three new SMT packaged 1-bit digital attenuators for automotive, broadband, cellular/3G, WiMAX/4G, military and test and measurement equipment applications from DC to 10 GHz. The HMC800LP3E, HMC801LP3E and the HMC802LP3E are digitally controlled GaAs MMICs which provide attenuation levels of 10 dB, 15 dB and 20 dB respectively.
These compact attenuators exhibit accuracy of ±0,5 dB, with up to +55 dBm input IP3 and switching speed as fast as 120 ns. They deliver insertion loss as low as 2,0 dB and accept CMOS/TTL control signals at very low DC current. The devices are housed in RoHS compliant and footprint compatible 3 x 3 mm QFN leadless packages.
