Averlogic’s PowerHDLink is a two-unit system for HD video/audio streaming over power lines or Ethernet.
The solution consists of a receiver and a transmitter which deliver H.264 HD video and audio from A/V equipment to a compatible HDTV display. It uses existing power lines or Ethernet lines, eliminating the need for extra wiring. The receiver is connected to an HDTV via HDMI cable, while the A/V equipment is connected directly to the transmitter. The source HDMI device can be controlled remotely using an infrared remote control.
The system utilises H.264 compression technology and supports up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60i or 1920 x 1080 @ 24p input sources. It employs power line communication (PLC) for wireless streaming and supports several PLC technologies including HomePlug-AV, HD-PLC and UPA. MPEG-1 layer II stereo audio is supported, with an optional 5.1 channel for AC-3 and AAC. A single transmitter is capable of transmitting to two receivers. Optional interfaces include YPbPr, CVBS and RCA stereo audio.
