New from IPC2U is the iKarPC-W08A vehicle PC, with an easily readable but compact 8-inch, 800 x 480 WVGA touch screen. The screen is sunlight readable and is equipped with automatic dimming to adjust its brightness to external light intensity.
The PC has the low-power Intel Z510 1,1 GHz processor and data storage is possible on a 4 GB Compact Flash card; it is also equipped with an SSD slot. The iKarPC-W08A provides wireless communication over WLAN 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, HSPA/UMTS, GPS and quad-band EDGE/GRPS/GSM. For communication inside the vehicle there are 1x RS232/422/485, 2x USB, 1x Gbit LAN and 1x DB 9 OBD II ports. OBD II is a diagnostic system which records and displays malfunctions inside the vehicle. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +60°C. The iKar can be mounted with a special vehicle mounting kit or plastic sucker.
