Active Profibus termination

Profibus networks can be actively terminated using the new PSI-Terminator-PB from Phoenix Contact. The device secures disturbance-free communications as a result of the permanent termination – especially in applications with changing bus participants.

The bus cable is connected via either a pluggable double spring cage terminal or a D-SUB socket. Active programming and diagnostics devices are supplied with power via the D-SUB connection. This makes the device particularly suitable as a defined service and measuring connection within a bus system. LEDs show users the bus activity and power supply for local diagnostics.

The device is designed for industrial applications and supports an extended temperature range from -20°C to 70°C. Its compact design enables it to be used in applications where space is restricted.
