ERNI’s new ERmet ZDHD connector is a high-speed, differential board to backplane connector which is a higher density extension of the standard ERmet ZD product line. The ZDHD has an optimised footprint for improved electrical performance and is designed for data rates up to 25 Gbps. It is currently available in a 6-pair version and will be offered in 2- and 4-pair versions in the future.
The connectors feature 14 rows per inch by six differential pairs per row and have an L-shield for each differential pair. Pitch between rows is 1,8 mm and between each differential pair within a row is 3,6 mm. The connectors have robust alignment guides on male side walls, and come in a standard impedance of 100 Ohms (85 Ω available on request). They operate in temperatures between
-55°C and +125°C and are rated to more than 250 mating cycles.
