Z-Communications has rolled out a new RoHS compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) – model SMV5320A-LF.
The C-band device operates at 5245–5395 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 1–4 V d.c. It features a typical phase noise of -81 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 170 MHz/V.
The SMV5320A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm at 5 V d.c. supply while drawing 27 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features typical second harmonic suppression of -20 dBc and comes in
Z-Comm’s SUB-L package measuring 7,62 x 7,62 x 2 mm. The device is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements, and is ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
The VCO is well suited for digital radio and fixed wireless applications that require low phase noise performance.
