Advantech has introduced the MIC-3351, a 3U CompactPCI single board computer for use in mission critical applications. With on-board Intel Pentium MMX 266 MHz CPU, the SBC can operate under a wider temperature range. It offers many functions within a mere two-slot width, saving valuable space for peripheral cards.
The MIC-3351 offers all the functions of an industrial computer and it accepts a CompactFlash memory card to eliminate the need for a rotating hard drive. Its watchdog timer can automatically reset the system or generate an interrupt if the system stops due to a program bug or EMI.
The on-board fast Ethernet interface complies with IEEE-802.3/802.3u for 10Base-T and 100Base-TX data rate. An optional Ultra2 SCSI interface supports up to 80 MBps data transfer rate and can connect up to 16 LVD devices.
Standard I/O connectors for all the functions are available on the front panel, as well as LEDs for power status, HDD and SCSI operation, Ethernet communication and the reset button.
