The SPBT2532C2.AT from STMicroelectronics is a compact Bluetooth v2.1 module that includes all the functions, and only those, required for a wireless modem. To this end, even the pin count is optimised, including supply input, UART interface up to 3,25 Mbps and four GPIOs for AT command communication.
The module’s embedded Bluetooth AT firmware implements all Bluetooth core protocols and serial port profile (SPP) to replicate UART data traffic over a Bluetooth link. The module can be fully controlled using AT commands and the software is embedded inside its reprogrammable Flash memory.
The device measures 10,5 x 13,5 mm, requires a single 3,3 V supply voltage and requires no external oscillator. It supports transmission rates up to 2 Mbps with EDR and comes with 256 KBytes of Flash and 48 KBytes of RAM memory.
