Linear Technology announced the LTC559x family of four dual down-converting mixers covering the 600 MHz to 4,5 GHz wireless infrastructure frequency range. The devices offer IIP3 of more than 26 dBm, noise figures of less than 10 dB and high conversion gain of 8,5 dB, enabling excellent dynamic range performance for both MIMO and diversity wideband receivers. Each channel of the mixers contains an integrated IF amplifier, LO buffer and RF balun transformers. Each mixer’s RF input is single-ended, 50 Ω matched. A common LO input drives the two internally split LO buffers, affording excellent channel-to-channel isolation while preserving phase coherency between channels.
