NewElec’s PMPT enclosure manufacturing facility allows customers to develop their own enclosure design with, for example, sub-D holes, cut outs, air slots, pocket millings and push-outs. After completion of the prototype, NewElec can then promptly deliver a high-quality product in small or large quantities as required.
The PMPT process allows fast development times with no need to manufacture expensive tools or moulds. Various materials are available including ABS, acrylics and HIPS, a plastic material with excellent dimensional stability that is easy to fabricate, paint and glue.
NewElec also provides a design service and changes to a prototype or production unit are easily achieved. Holes, for example, can be removed or added by simply changing the software program.
For a customer trying to sell a prototype device, a major advantage of the PMPT process is that even a one-off has a highly professional finish. Rather than using standard off-the-shelf enclosures, the customer also benefits in that their own product line can be totally personalised.
