The SFX2 transceiver module from Radiometrix offers a 500 mW RF power output in the 458 MHz band (or other frequencies on request) with conformance to EN 300 220-3 and EN 301 489-3. It is fully screened and integrates a high-performance double superhet, 255-channel PLL synthesiser with TCXO, and is capable of operating over a distance of 5 km. The standard module provides data rates up to 5 Kbps and TX switching time of 5 ms. A feature-rich RS-232 interface provides access to RSSI, automatic noise squelch, analog and digital baseband functionality. The device operates over a supply range of 6 V to 9 V (6 V to 15 V with 10% duty cycle) and consumes 350 mA in transmit mode and 35 mA in receive mode.
