The modules can be put into operation in a plug-and-play fashion as additional configuration is not required. The SFP ports, which are provided both by Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet media converters, offer particular flexibility for fibre-optic connections.
The Fast Ethernet media converter 10/100TX to 100FX with SFP port is additionally available as a variant with PoE+ according to IEEE802.3at. This standard ensures a maximum feed of the connected end devices per copper port of up to 30 W.
In addition to the media converters, Microsens also offers a 5-port Fast Ethernet Switch 10/100Base-TX. The Entry Line compact series is rounded off by a 2-port power injector for Gigabit Ethernet.
