InnoDisk recently developed a tiny industrial USB drive named Nano USB. With a size of only 19,4 x 15,4 x 6,9 mm, it is small enough to avoid any interference with other motherboard components and ensure better case ventilation. When inserted into a USB slot, only 25%, or 5 mm, of the device remains exposed on the motherboard.
A special hardening process is used to manufacture the drive’s gold finger to deliver higher-quality data transmission and greater durability than regular USB devices. Nano USB is embedded with SLC NAND Flash and features enhanced power cycling which ensures data integrity when abnormal power failure occurs.
The device is ESD resistant to 8 kV (contact discharge) and 15 kV (air discharge). It also features a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, making it well suited for industrial control applications in a variety of different working conditions.
Nano USB is available in capacities from 1 GB to 8 GB and can be used for a variety of different tasks, including as an OS boot drive, security key, and for data buffering. Customised VID and PID are also available for the OEM market.
