Rugged box PC

26 June 2013 Computer/Embedded Technology

Avalue Technology introduced the EPS-QM77E box PC which is powered by third-generation Intel Core i5/i7 processors. Fanless and ruggedised, it supports up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory, dual display with DVI-I and HDMI, 5.1-channel audio and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. It also provides 1x mSATA, 2x SATA, 4x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0 and 2x COM ports.

The EPS-QM77E withstands industrial operation environments for temperatures between -10°C and +60°C. It also supports a +9 to 19 V voltage input with anti-interference capability, and is protected against overload short circuits. Product reliability and stability are certified by industrial quality testing, including anti-vibration (continuous vibrations) of up to 5 Grms and anti-shock of up to 50 Grms.

While rugged, the chassis offers easy maintenance and integration. There is an access door on the bottom side to allow easy installation of storage drives and memory. The design and placement of the internal SBC allows for minimal cabling, which lowers the number of connections and points of possible failures. In addition, the optional table mount bracket allows easy mounting.

The PC is compatible with a wide range of operating systems. It supports iAMT 8.0 and TPM Function and is designed to meet the needs of factory automation, navigation, vehicle, transportation systems, communication systems and automation markets.
