Medical power adaptors

13 November 2013 Power Electronics / Power Management

New from Mean Well is the GSM06 series 6 Watt medical adaptor to satisfy the lower-wattage power supply requirements of the medical application market. Complying with international medical safety regulations, these units boast low leakage current (<50 A) and low no-load power consumption (<0,3 W), which can fulfil the high quality demands of patient contact medical applications.

The GSM06 series complies with the latest energy-saving regulations (level V), such as ErP step 2 of the European Union and EISA 2007 (Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007) of the USA. Thus, they meet energy-saving requirements in both standby and operating mode.

The wall-mounted adaptors feature 85 – 264 V a.c. full range input, provide 5 – 24 V d.c. output voltage options, and possess 82% efficiency. They are Class II power units (no F.G.) and enclosed by UL 94V-0 rated plastic case, which can effectively prevent users from electrical shock. Other standard functions include short circuit, overload and over-voltage protections.
