The new AMCOL-2-7/8 coaxial termination from Link Microtek has been designed to safely absorb high-power microwave and RF signals in a wide variety of operational systems and test-and-measurement applications. It provides excellent performance over its specified operating frequency range of DC to 3,1 GHz, with power handling capability up to 50 W and a maximum return loss of 27 dB.
This 50 Ω termination incorporates an EIA 7/8 inch brass connector and can also be supplied with an optional quick-release flange, a useful time-saving feature in a test environment where the device is likely to be connected and disconnected repeatedly.
Equipped with an anodised aluminium heatsink to ensure optimum thermal dissipation, the termination has overall dimensions of 202 (L) x
60 (D) mm. For applications requiring a non-standard product, Link Microtek is able to design and supply bespoke terminations to meet customer specifications with regard to performance, materials, dimensions and choice of connector.
