0,25 mm high 0402 capacitors

For applications in mobile RF modules and IC cards generally, low-height capacitors from Murata can be placed underneath the ICs they serve, effectively using no space on the substrate.

Nominal height of the GRM36-019 (new GRP15X5C) is 0,25 mm ±0,05 mm giving a maximum height of 3,0 mm on a 1,0 x 0,5 mm footprint. There are 42 variants in the family, with values from 1,0 to 200 pF, the relatively high values in COG dielectric giving excellent bypass performance. Voltage ratings are 50 V d.c. up to 100 pF and 25 V d.c. above that.

The operating temperature range is a full -55 to 125°C with no capacitance change with time, temperature or DC voltage. Terminations are highly resistant to metal migration.

Packaging is in 8 mm paper tape because of the increased positioning accuracy this provides compared with plastic tape.
