Push-pull latching circular connectors

26 September 2001 Interconnection

The Fischer 4032 series is the latest in its new plastic line and shares many attributes with the 405 series. Fischer cylindrical connectors are known for high build-quality and for its unique semi-circular keying system that offers ease-of-use while preventing damage to contacts and insulation material. The new plastic connectors are rated for over 500 mating cycles.

Features and benefits:

* Suited for a wide variety of applications including data acquisition, medical equipment and instrumentation.

* Completely plastic body provides a high degree of electrical isolation and shock-protection - no exposed metal parts.

* Impervious to thousands of medical sterilisation cycles via autoclave or liquid germicide.

* Sealed versions for use in moisture-laden environments are sealed to IP68.

* Highly resistant to chemicals and temperature (to 135°C).

* 60% reduction in total connector weight compared to similar metal-shell versions.

* Available with integral shielding for EMI/RFI-sensitive applications (in work).

* 14,5 mm diameter - only slightly larger than the original 13 mm metal-shelled version.

* Available with solder, PC board or crimp contacts.

* A full range of accessories is available, including cable strain reliefs, sealing caps and crimp contacts.
