The AWS-4F-00102000-40-17P has joined MITEQ’s family of low-cost hermetic, single bias coaxial amplifiers. It has over 30 dB of gain from 100 MHz to 20 GHz, in a housing that is only 2,54 cm long and 1,68 cm wide (not including the field replaceable SMA connectors). Gain flatness is a maximum of ±1,5 dB, with typical performance of ±1 dB.
The device has a maximum noise figure of 4 dB, operates over a baseplate temperature range of -40°C to +75°C, has a P1dB minimum of 17 dBm, IP3 of typically 25 dBm, and a current draw of maximum 300 mA from a single +12 V d.c. supply. The aluminium base provides excellent thermal characteristics while the slim profile Kovar housing allows for hermetic sealing if required. The use of an EMI filtered and gasketed DC feedthrough provides for improved EMI performance.
