RS Components is expanding its Samtec product range with the introduction of more than 190 additional devices, including RF and coaxial connectors that target use in wireless telecommunications applications.
Key product types being introduced include the high-speed and high-density Razor Beam self-mating systems, which reduce inventory costs and are available in a variety of pitches and lead styles for increased flexibility; high-density micro connector systems; and a range of RF connector products including PCB headers, MMCX connectors and coaxial cable assemblies.
A key series introduction is the high-performance and rugged-contact GRF1-J and GRF1-P micro-miniature RF connectors and cable assemblies. These devices can handle signals of up to 5,31 GHz/10,7 Gbps at 152 mm. SMP cable-mount jacks and PCB-mount plugs have also been introduced, and are ideal for space-limited applications that require high-frequency solutions. The devices feature a push-on, snap-together coupling to provide secure and reliable connection, as well as offering gold-plated centre contacts and a PTFE insulator.
A third example, is the IJ5C5 50 series of high-isolation RF cable assemblies, which use a 4,0 mm pitch IJ5C connector housed in black shielded thermoplastic housings and feature a positive latching system for secure connection. They consist of a high-performance #26 AWG shielded cable with an FEP outer jacket.
