Communications IC provider, IDT (Integrated Device Technology), and Alcatel have unveiled a jointly developed bridge and router reference design. Developed for the customer premise equipment (CPE) market, the 79RP351 ADSL reference design provides a comprehensive, production-ready solution that enables fast time-to-market for the design of ADSL bridges and routers. The reference design enables designers to reach a competitive bill of materials for ADSL bridge applications.
Combining the interoperability of Alcatel's MTK-20150 ADSL chipset with IDT's RC32355 integrated communications processor, the solution addresses the needs of residential gateway systems builders. The reference design is highly compact and incorporates an ADSL port, an Ethernet and a USB interface as part of the platform. This product implements added value functions in software to provide system differentiation, including security and system management.
