27 February 2002 Computer/Embedded Technology

Tilcon Software, a graphical interface company and GUI and HMI development solutions provider for the realtime and embedded marketplace, QNX Software Systems has released version 4.61 of the Tilcon Real-Time Developer (TRTD) for the QNX RTOS v6.1x.

TRTD now includes an optional ODBC client module to greatly facilitate connectivity to standard databases. JPEG file support and many new features and enhancements have also been added and scalability options have been expanded.

Tilcon has also announced the beta release of mapping libraries. This new module, which allows users to manipulate and display geographic information, contains the following: utility functions for handling commonly used geographic coordinate systems; functions to handle 'rasterised' scanned paper maps; functions to create and display databases of rasterised maps, eg for in-car computing, transportation, defence and other mapping applications. The Tilcon tools are available for the QNX RTOS v4 and the QNX RTOS v6.1. See www.qnx.com
