Compared to traditional mono or STN 150-250 mm computer screens, Advantech's AWS-8124 features a 300 mm TFT, 800 x 600 resolution display to show enhanced data or trend information. Being only 150 mm in depth for easy space design, the AWS-8124 mini-workstation provides four slots of either pure ISA or mixed PCI/ISA expansion. It supports a quick-swap 3,5" FDD/ 3,5" HDD drive housing, and engineers can change or update the production program or data in one minute.
The AWS-8124 provides not only standard AC power, but also DC 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V power, plus multiple touchscreen options. For customer upgrades, the cut-out dimensions of the AWS-8124 are exactly the same as the AWS-8100 series. The AWS-8124 has an aluminium front panel which meets NEMA4/IP65, and the disk drive housing holds one 3,5" FDD and one 3,5" HDD. Its cooling system consists of one 32,8 CFM fan, and the operating temperature is from 0-50°C.
An optional analog resistive touchscreen with a continuous resolution is available. It has a light transmission of 72%, durability of a 100-million touch lifetime, and its software driver supports DOS, Windows 3.1/95/98/NT/2000, and Linux.
