Advantech's PCI-1760 is an islated relay actuator and D/I card with eight opto-isolated DI channels, eight isolated relay outputs, two isolated pulse width modulation outputs and LED indicators to show activated relays. It is ideal for digital signal and status monitoring, industrial on/off control and external relay driving.
Compared to traditional cards, Advantech says the PCI-1760 adds the programmable digital filter for each digital input channel. When the function is enabled, the state of the corresponding input channel will not be updated until one high/low signal has lasted for a time duration programmed by the user.
With unique interrupt functions such as 'Pattern match' and 'Change of input state', the card is able to monitor the status of the digital inputs and generates signals according to the user's definition. These functions release the burden of PCs from polling all I/O points. PCs can thus handle more I/O points with higher performance.
The PCI-1760 provides a 16-bit UP event counter for each DI channel. When the counter overflows or reaches a pre-set value programmed by the user, the counter will generate an interrupt to the PC.
Different from other cards providing only limited event counter resources, the PCI-1760 with its extra event counter support lets users easily maximise their applications.
