A 1 U high, 84 HP wide and 305 mm deep cPCI member has been added to Elma Trenew Electronic's range of CompactPCI Integrated Systems.
The rugged 19-inch hot-dip galvanised sheet steel construction can be used in desktop or rack-mountable applications and incorporates the following features:
* 6U backplane with 2 slot to the front and 2 slot rear I/O.
* Integrated fan control in backplane.
* Horizontal ventilation by three fans (exhaust).
* Superior EMC shielding even for applications in a high-frequency range.
* Drive bay for one 3,5 inch HDD or up to 2,5 inch HDD Main connection and main switch in the rear, Inhibit and LED in front panel fully compliant to IEEE 1101.10/.11.
EMC shielding is superior even in high-frequency range. The standard version will be produced with a black powder-coated front panel although different colours can be made available if required. The two slot backplane, for the horizontal installation of up to two boards 6U x 160 mm from the front, comes with two rear I/O boards slots 6U x 80 mm. To increase functionality the enclosure also has space to install one 3,5 inch HDD or 2 x 2,5 inch HDD.
For higher power requirements Elma offers the flexible 200 W power supply unit with active PFC for input voltages of 90-264 V a.c.
The good thermal characteristics of the unit are achieved via three fans. The fan is also controlled via electronics integrated into the backplane.
Elma's 1U CompactPCI system can accommodate one one-slot or one dual-slot single board computer. Target markets are in datacoms and telecoms (for example Net Routers and the Net gateway markets).
