The first member of the new FireStorm/LP family is a robust four-port, RS232 adapter. Its space-saving, MD1 low profile belies its speed and functionality. A Quad UART controls each port, providing 64 bytes of TX and RX FIFO per channel. The UART includes a fifth generation 16C550 compatible register set, a global interrupt source register and automatic hardware and software flow control.
High-speed communication requirements are satisfied with data transfer rates up to 921,6 Kbps. This functionality and size make the FireStorm/LP perfect for embedded systems, thin-client systems or any of today's applications requiring a serial I/O card with a small footprint.
The FireStorm/LP ships with both a low profile and standard bracket, simplifies fitting into one's system. A DB-9 or DB-25 cable harness is also standard, and custom cabling solutions are also an option. Connect Tech offers a lifetime warranty - standard on all this company's products.
