The SCM3721ASA and SCM3723ASA belong to a family of digital isolators based on unique capacitive pulse isolation technology. Capacitive pulse isolation is a new-generation digital isolator technology that uses the principle of a capacitive voltage divider to transmit a signal directly across the isolator capacitor without signal modulation and demodulation.
Compared to traditional optocoupler technology, Mornsun’s capacitive pulse isolation technology, in combination with mature CMOS technology, lends itself to the simplification of circuit designs and consequently improved device performance, such as lower power consumption, faster speed, enhanced anti-interference capability and lower noise.
The SCM3721ASA and SCM3723ASA isolators’ data channels are independent and are available in a variety of configurations with a withstand voltage rating of 1,5 kVrms to 3,0 kVrms and a data rate from DC up to 10 Mbps. The input/output design techniques permit logic and supply voltages from 3,0 V to 5,5 V, offering voltage translation of 3,3 V and 5 V logic. The architecture is designed for high common-mode transient immunity and high immunity to electrical noise and magnetic interference.
