Wideband passives in miniature chip packages

Macom Technology Solutions has added three new models to its portfolio of miniature wideband passive ICs.

The MABA-011125, a 1:2 impedance-ratio balun for 2-20 GHz operation, features 2 dB insertion loss and excellent amplitude and phase balance (typically 0 dB and 0°). Housed in a 3 mm, 16-pin PQFN capable of handling up to 3 W of RF power, it is ideal for data converter circuits and balanced amplifiers.

Second, the MAPD-011062 is a 2-way power combiner/divider targets signal distribution circuits with its 2-20 GHz frequency support, 1 dB insertion loss, optimal low-frequency isolation and 3 W of RF power-handling in a similar 3 mm, 16-pin PQFN.

Third, designed for test point applications, the MACP-011088 is a 17 dB bidirectional coupler operating across 2-18 GHz with 0,8 dB insertion loss. Well matched – typically 18 dB on all ports – and capable of handling up to 3 W of RF power, it is supplied in a 4 mm, 24-pin PQFN.
