LNA up to 86 GHz

27 September 2023 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

The WVA-71863LNX+ from Mini-Circuits is a low-noise amplifier (LNA) that operates from 71 to 86 GHz. It provides 39 dB of gain, with a noise figure of less than 5 dB, and has a saturated output power of 18,5 dBm.

This amplifier incorporates several DC-protection features such as over-voltage, reverse voltage, and in-rush current protection to protect from damage in case of unexpected spikes in voltage during operation. It requires a DC supply from 10 to 15 V, and consumes less than 220 mA of current. This LNA has internal DC-DC conversion circuitry, which maintains constant efficiency over the full input voltage range while providing protected from external factors.

The WVA-71863LNX+ is available in a module that measures 47 x 42 x 24 mm, and has a WR12 waveguide input and output interface. It is ideal for use in aerospace/defence systems, automotive radar testing, test and measurement, and wireless backhaul testing in the E-Band.
