Amphenol Antenna Solutions’ range of TRIO antennas are 3-sector base station antennas concealed inside a compact cylindrical shroud. Unlike typical Unicell structures, the TRIO radiating subassemblies are not individually removable. Rather, the antenna for each sector is built directly into the mechanical structure, creating the smallest possible antenna diameter.
The product range includes wideband, twin-wideband, dual-band and tri-band configurations in diameters ranging from 230 mm to 458 mm. TRIO antennas are RET capable and selected models are available with azimuth panning. Accessories such as TRIO extension canisters, lightning protection kits, flag adapter kits and mounting masts are available to enhance the product offering.
All antennas in the TRIO range benefit fully from Amphenol’s RET control concept with fully embedded RET motors and a single non-protruding control module through the Multiple Device Control Unit (MDCU). The MDCU can also be replaced with another module, the Multiple Device Dual Unit (MDDU), which offers two separate 3GPP/AISG control of all the internal motors.
