Sena Technologies announced the addition of Home Automation firmware for its ProBee ZE20S Series of ZigBee OEM modules. Three new firmwares have been released for ZigBee Home Automation profile support: HACI (Home Automation Combined Interface), HADL (Home Automation Door Lock) and HAOL (Home Automation On/Off Light). Users may download the firmware to the modules using ProBee Manager.
The ProBee-ZE20S is a short-range SMD/DIP module with integrated ZigBee core and radio/antenna circuits together with high-level software interface. They are not only targeted at home and building automation but also smart energy, healthcare and telecom services. The ZE20S is based on the Ember EM357 ZigBee core certified by the ZigBee alliance based on ZigBee 2007 and ZigBee Pro stack.
The ZE20S can transfer data at up to 250 Kbps and reach up to 300 m outdoor with line-of-sight.
