Radiometrix has released the SFX2 radio transceiver module for industrial applications requiring long range and high reliability. It SFX2 shares a footprint and pinout with the TR2M transceiver series while offering improved switching times together with 0,5 W of RF power output, giving it a usable range of 5 km. The standard model operates at data rates up to 5 Kbps on the 458,5 – 459,5 MHz band but many other frequency options are available to order. It features RX-to-TX switching time of 5 ms, has a receive sensitivity of better than -118 dBm and complies with ETSI Category 1 (high reliability) receiver performance specifications. It is user configurable via RS232 interface and features RSSI, automatic noise squelch, analog and digital baseband.
