Otto Wireless Solutions has given a preview of two cellular routers due to hit the South African market in the near future. With the products due to land on local shores in April 2015, the company shared some advance information on what to expect.
Made by Wlink, the two models will feature 3G and 4G/LTE connectivity, respectively, with dual SIM, two LAN ports, GPS, Wi-Fi and I/O ports being common to both. A GPS feature, which has already been included in current models, will allow a user to locate the device via Google Maps at the click of a button.
According to Otto Wireless Solution’s Chris Viveiros, the devices themselves will be very well priced and reliable, and Wlink’s existing products are earning a five-star reputation within the South African market. He also says the free back-end which Wlink provides has been well received by industrial clients, as it caters for functionality such as resetting or updating the modem remotely, as well as monitoring traffic and setting administrative rules.
