The SIM800C is a quad-band GSM/GPRS module from SIMCom that supports operating frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz.
Its low power consumption and small size of 17,6 x 15,7 x 2,3 mm make it ideal for compact applications such as wearable or tracking devices.
Based on the previously released SIM800H but in an easy-to-use SMT package rather than LGA, the SIM800C can transmit voice, SMS and data information. It supports Bluetooth, FM and Embedded AT commands, and its software features include audio recording, jamming detection, TCP/UDP, email and FTP/HTTP, amongst others.
The module operates from 3,4 to 4,4 V and has interfaces for analog audio, PCM, RTC backup, serial, USB, external SIM, keypad, GPIO, ADC, and antenna pads for GSM, FM and Bluetooth.
