Serial to Ethernet converter

14 October 2015 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

The PM-S2E-S01TR25 from Pongee Industries is an embedded module for conversion between serial and Ethernet network data signals. Designed for conversion of a serial data signal in TTL (3,3 V), RS-232, RS-485 (3,3 V/5 V) voltage levels, it is suitable for direct connection to a host processor.

The module, which measures 58 x 25 mm, enables an end device to be treated as a 10/100 Base-T Internet host for sending and receiving data at speeds between 1200 and 230 400 bps. It includes features such as auto-connection, auto-recovery, protocol conversion, ease of upgrade and digital TTL I/O controlled via Ethernet.
