Low-noise RF amplifier
26 June 2019, Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

The CMD299 from Custom MMIC is a wideband GaAs MMIC low-noise amplifier that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. It provides an output power of up to 7,5 dBm (0,0056 W), a gain of 16 dB, and has a noise figure of maximum 4,6 dB.

The amplifier requires a supply voltage from 1,5 to 3,3 V and is matched to 50 Ω to eliminate the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching. Available in a die and suitable for electronic warfare and communication systems, it consumes between 23 mA and 43 mA, and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
