AAEON's new EMB-830 is an Intel Pentium 4 Embedded ATX board with DDR333, Gigabit-Ethernet, PCMCIA, mini PCI, CFD and USB 2.0. The EMB-830 supports hyper-threading technology, and also provides high memory capacities up to 2 GB DDR DRAM (DDR 333). It features the Intel 845 GV chipset, which supports high CPU frequencies up to 3,06 GHz with front side bus running at 400 or 533 MHz.
In addition to the powerful computing engine, the full function design includes features such as integrated 2D/3D graphics engine with AGP 4X. With the strong graphics and multimedia capability, EMB-830 can be broadly implemented in markets such as point of sale, point of information (kiosks), and gaming.
The low profile EMB-830 supports 6 USB 2.0 ports or pin-headers, mini PCI, and PCMCIA (optional) slots allowing one to employ numerous off-the-shelf PCMCIA or mini PCI modules, ranging from IEEE 1394, modem, storage, sound card, SCSI card, audio/video capture card, wireless LAN module, to Bluetooth module.
