The nRF403 is a single chip UHF transceiver designed to operate in the 315/433 MHz ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) frequency band. This Nordic product features frequency shift keying (FSK) modulation and demodulation capability. nRF403 operates at bit rates up to 20 Kbit/s. Transmit power can be adjusted to a maximum of 10 dBm. Antenna interface is differential and suited for low cost PCB antennas. The nRF403 operates from a single +3 V d.c. supply and features a standby mode which makes power saving efficient.
As a primary application, nRF403 is intended for UHF radio equipment in compliance with class I.a of the ETSI specification EN 300 220-1 V1.2, US FCC standard CFR 47 and Japanese regulations for telecommunication.
Some applications are: alarm and security systems; automatic meter reading; 2-way keyless entry; home automation; automotive; telemetry; toys; and RFID.
