A remote data acquisition and control system from ProMicro, features a full product range that integrates HMI platforms and numerous I/O modules such as DI/O, AI/O, relay and counter modules. Also available are wireless, MODbus, RS485, fibre-optic and CAN communication modes for fast data transfer.
Via an Ethernet channel, data transfer can be uploaded to HMI platforms for monitoring and control purposes. This can be accomplished using the existing data bus, without extra hardwire costs.
Users can send data from remote sensors and receive commands from the host computer via an ADAM-4550, a 2,4 GHz radio modem with both RS232 and RS485 interface ports. Data transmission rates up to 115,2 Kbps are possible over a 168 m distance. A transmission distance of up to 2500 m is possible with the ADAM-4541. It carries signals from fibre-optic to RS232/485 with no electromagnetic interference.
With the EIA RS485 communication protocol, ADAM-4000 series modules transmit and receive data at high rates over long distances. All modules use optical isolators to prevent ground loop problems and to reduce the risk of damage due to power surges.
