In a unique design, the nRF24E2 transmitter has embedded 8051 MCU, 9 channel 12-bit ADC, and peripherals, to comprise one of the industry's most complete wireless 2,4 GHz ISM band platforms.
This system on chip (SoC) IC is manufactured in an ultra-modern 0,18 µm process, and has included the benefits of the nRF2402 device, such as ShockBurst, and on-chip CRC encoding. The entire radio, 8051 MCU, 9 channel 12 bit ADC, peripherals, inductors and filters, are integrated on a single die that the company says gives the highest value and smallest bill of material (BoM) available in the market today. The only external components needed to make a complete system are a crystal, resistor, and a low cost external 4 KB EEPROM for initial program storage.
Minimum supply voltage is 1,9 V and operating frequency is 2400-2524 MHz. The total solution fits into a 36-pin QFN package, measuring 6 x 6 mm.
