The TDK5100F series is a family of single-chip FSK (frequency-shift keying) transmitters from Infineon Technologies for the frequency bands 433-435 MHz and 311-317 MHz. The IC offers a high level of integration and needs only a few external components. It is ideal for tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and remote keyless entry (RKE) applications.
The device contains a fully integrated PLL (phase locked loop) synthesizer and a high-efficiency power amplifier to drive a loop antenna. A special circuit layout and unique power amplifier design are used to reduce current consumption and extend battery life. In addition, features such as power-down mode, low-power detect, a selectable crystal oscillator frequency and a divided clock output are implemented.
The small P-TSSOP10 package enables very compact designs.
