Integration Associates' new EZRadio FSK (frequency shift keying) wireless chipset, the IA4420 transceiver, is intended for advanced bi-directional communication in low cost, high performance wireless applications as in the consumer electronics, automotive, toy, home automation and building security markets. The EZRadio transceiver is completely software programmable, and combines unique Automatic Antenna Tuning technology. This provides reliable connectivity, while reducing the bill of materials and production costs. EZRadio also includes features designed to extend battery life and enable the use of less expensive crystals and microcontrollers. It operates in the unlicensed ISM band (315, 433, 868, 915 MHz), requires only two external components - a crystal and a low-cost microcontroller. The device has a 256 Kbps maximum bit rate and comes in a 16 pin TSSOP.
